Hexarena privacy policy
Last updated 27 September 2026
This policy covers the Hexarena game on Android and at hexarena.net. You can play as a guest without an account. A guest has a random name and nothing about them is stored.
What we collect
Only if you create an account:
- Email address and password. Used to sign you in. The password is stored only as a secure hash.
- Google sign-in. If you choose "Continue with Google", we get your email address, name and profile picture from Google.
- Profile. Your display name, avatar link and friends list. Other players can see these.
- Game stats. Wins, games played, kills, territory captured and time played, overall and per league. These appear on the public leaderboards.
- Reports. When a player reports someone, the report includes both players' names and the chat lines around the incident, so it can be reviewed.
During an online match, the game server sees your in-game name, moves and chat so it can run the match. It doesn't keep moves or chat after the match ends, except for lines quoted in a report. If you join a private room, your in-game name stays on its member list until the room has been empty for 30 days.
We don't collect your location, contacts, device identifiers or advertising ID. Hexarena has no ads and no third-party analytics.
How we use it
We use it only to run the game: signing you in, showing your name and stats, leaderboards, and moderation. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone for advertising or marketing.
Where it's stored
On Hexarena's own servers. All traffic between the game and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS and secure WebSockets).
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and its data at any time, from the app or on the web. See Delete your Hexarena account for the steps and for what is kept.
Children
Hexarena isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
